HTC earlier this week announced the Desire 626 in Taiwan, and we told you that the smartphone was a Moto G competitor, as it offers relatively similar specs at about the same price. While HTC didn't say if it's planning to release the handset around the world, we now know that the new Desire could be available in the US sometime soon.According to @upleaks, the Desire 626 should be launched by Sprint as a prepaid smartphone. The 626 can be seen as a more advanced replacer for Sprint's Desire 510, which has been available since September.The new Desire currently runs Android KitKat, but HTC may want to update it to Lollipop later this year. The handset is powered by a 64-bit, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, and offers a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels. It's also got LTE, a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of expandable storage space. Measuring 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.19 mm, the Desire 626 includes a 2000 mAh battery.
