The Pepsi Phone P1s will come with a 5.5" 1080p 2.5D screen, an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card, a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP selfie taker, a 3,000 mAh battery, as well as a finger scanner at the rear. Given that the P1s campaign is in China, you can bet that the device sports dual SIM card slots, too. The Pepsi Phone is to run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, with an overlay called dido OS 6.1 sprinkled on top of it.
While all of this may sound like the typical boilerplate Chinese midranger these days, the Pepsi logo on the back, and the matching wallpaper certainly give the phone a... Twist. Furthermore, while the early backers' $94 pricing with an exclusive blue version has been already sold out, the Pepsi Phone P1s can be had for the equivalent of $110 now, with a release date pegged for December 3rd. Any Android soda aficionados?
