A video discovered on weibo by tipster Slashleaks, is said to show an in-display fingerprint scanner in use on the Xiaomi Mi 8. That's right, Xiaomi is jumping straight from the Mi 6 to the Mi 8 according to the latest reports. The device is said to include a facial recognition feature similar to the Apple iPhone X's Face ID, and should be powered by the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform. The Mi 8 is expected to carry 8GB of RAM, 64GB of native storage, support for wireless charging and a 4000mAh battery. MIUI 9 will also makes its debut on the handset, according to the rumors.

Keep in mind that the video at the top of the story runs for only three seconds; blink and you'll miss it. Also, there is no proof that what we are actually looking at is an in-display biometric reader and the Xiaomi Mi 8. So take this all with the proverbial grain of salt.
